Recently Unearthed: The Features

I downloaded Still Lost, Volume 1 from NoiseTrade sometime in the recent past. As a music hoarder, I don't always listen to new stuff right away, but as soon as Temporary Blues (UK Mix) came on my iPod, they had my attention and I was emailing my work buddy asking if she'd heard of them. Exciting enough, she emailed back and said they'll be playing at one of our favorite local spots soon! October 10 is now firmly planted on my calendar!

I spent the rest of today listening to the rest of the songs I have and I have not been disappointed at all so far.   I'm heading to do some more music shopping as soon as I finish this post to get their album "Wilderness". I hate to do "sounds like", but there are parts that sound like Young the Giant. I hope they are better live than Young the Giant... I saw them earlier this summer and was disappointed (happy that Apache Relay opened for them though!).

Well, new favorites: The Features, thanks for getting me jamming around the day job today. I can't wait to dig up some more! Plus, your album cover made me crave an ice cream cone, so I had to stop and get one on my way home from work today! I'm going to stop focusing on the fact that the one guy looks like my semi-creepy cousin Alan and their website jumps around too much while I'm trying to read it.
